This compact fire starting kit contains the necessary tools and materials to ensure a reliable fire everytime! Packaged in a sturdy, sealable hard plastic container, the ferrocium rod with flint striker will shower hot sparks onto the included waxed jute rope ( proprietary wax blend) or the three waxed fire plugs.
Simply fluff the rope or the fire plugs to maximize surface area and ignite with any hot spark or flame.

The ferro rod comes with a protective coating. simply scrape off with provided piece of flint. Once bare metal is seen, simply scrape hard and fast to produce sparks. Long term storage after use it is recomended to recoat the ferro rod. ( it will oxidize overtime if exposed) a simple coat of paint, nail polish will suffice.
The waxed products need to be fluffed vigorusly to provide ample surface area to increase ease of use.( the more the better)
This kit is weatherproof, it can be soaking wet, shaken off and used !
