This fire starting kit is the perfect tool for any outdoor enthusiast. It comes with a 5/16"x3" ferro rod, striker, 14" of 10mm waxed jute rope, 10 fire plugs, a metal tin, and a 24" leather strap. The 4 pieces of waxed jute rope can burn up to 45 minutes, and the fire plugs can burn up to 5 minutes. The metal tin can be used to make char cloth. With this kit, you will be able to start a fire on your outdoor adventures with ease.

To properly and consistently start a fire using our products, we suggest the following.
1. Fray the waxed jute rope creating as large as possibile surface area of fine fibers.
2. Expose the fire plug cotton fibers to create a large surface area about the size of a quarter.
3. Place ferro rod slightly behind surfaces to ignite and firmly on the ground. ( Scrape coating off of ferro rod prior to start). Strike firmly and with long strokes along the ferro rod with included striker. this will shower your intended area with sparks igniting the fire starting material. Once lit add proper size dry tinder and as flames grow add larger and larger material. Remember to follow the steps for creating a fire! Have proper amounts of small pencil lead size, pencil size, finger size dry tinder available !
